Lisa Roma is a self-styled vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist, who has been composing music, and writing songs and poetry since her teens. Reared since early childhood on her father’s eclectic music library, she has a broad musical palette and enjoys singing classics from Broadway shows and American Songbook Jazz standards, blues, romantic ballads, classic pop and contemporary folk and rock harmonies. Her favorite female songwriters and divas are Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday. She adores the music of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Rodgers & Hart, Lerner & Loewe, the jazz stylings of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, and jazz masters Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, and more. Lisa Roma’s debut CD is currently in pre-production. She is also a visual artist and designer.
Lisa Roma is founder-director of Creative Women’s Network (CWN), a literary arts, design and promotional service. She is also co-founder and co-director of The Half Moon Theatre Company, along with Rob Darnell.
